News!

Greetings! I have some updates that are personally exciting. Mmmmaybe you’ll find them exciting as well.

First, MANIFEST on the 12th was tremendous fun. We had some interesting new babies (including some ATLiens) as well as some very familiar faces. We had about 14 people grace the stage, so it was a wonderfully diverse night. I, for one, felt immensely inspired.

February’s MANIFEST will be the No Ordinary Love Poetry Show on February 9th. I certainly hope to see you fine folks there! We’ve got some great talents on the bill.

Switching gears, Your Friendly Neighborhood Xtian has been hard at work on an EP. I’m producing it myself as well as handling vocal duties. If things bode well, I’ll have it ready to go within the next few months. The making of this project has been very affirming. It’s forced me to consider who and where I’ve been over the course of the past four years, and most of the material that will be on the EP are brand spankin’ new.

I’d like to have something up for you guys to hear before too long. We shall see what I can manage on that end. Also, if you’d like to contribute a little something monetarily for the recording costs, you can do so through my product page. I have a link to my Paypal account on there. If you do donate something, I’ll do something special for you like hook you up with the finished EP, perhaps dance in your dreams, or draw you a personal picture. You’ve got OPTIONS!

Well, that’s all I have for now. I’ll be in touch again soon. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, and I’ll see you when I see you!

The Year of the Snake

Greetings,

I sincerely hope that NYE, and the past 6 days of 2013 have treated you fine folks well. I really can’t complain on my end. Really, the past month has been an amazing time. I’ve learned a lot and have been on my grizzly (aka grind), so that’s been fulfilling.

This Saturday night, MANIFEST Presents The Speakeasy will be taking place. I’m very excited to see and hear what our participants will be taking the stage with. Also, I just so happen to have some brand SPANKIN’ new pieces, too. I’ll be breaking in some of the new babies, brothers and sisters.

For those who are interested, the show will be at The Camp House in Chattanooga, TN (1427 Williams St.). Doors open at 8 (the list opens up at 8, too), and we’ll get rolling around 9. Admission is $5, but if you’re a starving artist college student, if you bring your school ID, you can get in for $3. Good times are guaranteed, babypaws.

Switching gears, I’m in talks with a few people about selling beats and remixes for different projects. That’s always exciting for me. I’ve always enjoyed making music, and it’s a wonderful feeling to be able to have someone value the work enough to a) want it, and b) pay for it. I’ll gladly keep you guys posted on the developments.

I’ve been working on a new project (well… it’s actually an extension of an old project, but I think it still counts as new), and it’s been a lot of fun. All I want to do is keep pushing to get more accomplished with it, so I have to keep reminding myself that the work will occur when it’s ready to. If I try to force something and get nowhere, the only thing I’ll succeed in doing will be to frustrate myself, and I try to avoid that as much as I can.

If things shake out well, I might have something to unveil to you by the end of the month if not sooner. Stay tuned! I promise good things.

Well, that’s about all I have for now. Be good, boss up on those resolutions, and I’ll be back in touch soon.

Vaya con Dios!
